Team Development
Upon arriving we plan to have a staff team on board. Our staff team will take the following steps in building our team:
- Speak with area churches and supporting church leaders to engage them in the team building process. Our goal is to reach unchurched people but we would benefit from like-minded Christians who are interested in joining our team or who can point us towards interested individuals. We may find some churches willing to send out some of their people to help us by joining the launch team.
- Each staff member will be responsible for bringing additional launch team members on board. This will happen as people move to plant with us or through developing relationships with people from the area.
- Our team will meet in our group format sharing vision and discussing plans. We will answer the three questions: How does this help/inspire me to love God? What does this say about loving others? How can I use this to make a difference with others and my community?
- We will have written expectations for Christian launch team members.
- We will use our launch team to intentionally build relationships with others through events such as:
- Block parties
- Game nights
- Service projects
- Distributing marketing materials
- Community projects
- We will develop specific team leaders through our launch team development. (Set-up Team, Hospitality Team, Tech Team, Group Leaders, etc…)
- One on one coaching of Team Leaders will begin in the launch team development phase.
- A set of preview services will be used to gauge additional interest in joining our team.
- Our goal is to have 50 launch team members prior to launch.
- We will continue to develop leaders and team in our post launch. Our goal is for each team to have a coach, a leader and an apprentice. This methodology allows for new teams to form and a shared commitment to vision while providing newcomers an opportunity to engage in making a difference.
